Neo
Breakouts on your jaw every month? Let's look at what changes in the week before they start.
01What may be driving it
Skin problems rarely start on the skin.
Hormones, sleep, stress, food, products and weather all show up on your skin. A personal doctor looks at the whole picture, and Neo asks about all of it.
Acne starts in a clogged pore. What keeps it coming back is usually somewhere else.
Ask Neo about acnePossible factor · 1 of 4
Hormones
Hormonal shifts raise oil production. Breakouts along the jaw and chin often follow the monthly cycle.
Neo may ask about
- Breakouts before periods
- Jawline and chin
- Recent hormonal changes
Possible factor · 2 of 4
Oil and clogged pores
Extra oil and dead skin block pores, and bacteria feed on what gets trapped inside.
Neo may ask about
- Oily T-zone
- Blackheads
- Acne in the family
Possible factor · 3 of 4
Products and habits
Heavy creams, hair oil near the face, makeup left on overnight and picking can all keep breakouts going.
Neo may ask about
- Products you use
- Hair oil

Stress, sleep and food
Stress and short sleep make breakouts worse and slower to heal. For some people, sugary foods and milk do too.
Neo may ask about
- Stress
- Sleep hours
- Sugar and dairy
Most dark spots are the skin reacting to sun, hormones or old inflammation.

Hormones
Patches on the cheeks, forehead and upper lip (melasma) often start with pregnancy or birth control pills.

Possible factor · 4 of 4
Harsh products
Scrubs, home remedies like lemon, and some fairness creams irritate the skin and can make pigment worse.
Neo may ask about
- Fairness creams
- Scrubs and peels
- Home remedies
Eczema is a leaky skin barrier plus whatever sets it off.
Ask Neo about eczemaPossible factor · 1 of 4
A weak skin barrier
Eczema-prone skin loses water fast and lets irritants in, so it dries, cracks and itches.
Neo may ask about
- Tight, dry skin

- How often you moisturise
Possible factor · 2 of 4
Irritants
Soap, detergent, fragrance, wool and some metals can each start a flare.

Spread at home

02How Neo helps
From “why me?” to a plan that fits.
Neo works the way a good personal doctor does: understand first, then plan, then follow up.
- 01Free
Understand
Take the skin check: show where it is, take a photo and answer a few questions. The AI explains what may be going on.
- 02Any hour
Show Neo
Send a photo and ask anything. Neo asks about your sleep, stress, cycle and products, because they all show up on skin.
- 03Your goal
Plan
Neo builds a skin goal: a simple morning and night routine, triggers to avoid and what to log, all on your health calendar.
- 04Every day
Track
Daily check-ins and progress photos show what is working, so you change what isn't instead of guessing.
- 05When needed
See a dermatologist when it matters
If something needs a doctor, Neo tells you, and helps you note what to show and what to ask.
03Track
See what's working, week by week.
Skin changes slowly, so it's easy to give up on something that was working, or stick with something that wasn't. The skin tracker in Make My Health keeps the evidence.
- Progress photos of your face from the front and both sides, framed the same way each time
- A daily skin score, with what you noticed and where
- Every product you use, marked helped, no difference or worse
- A reminder when it's time for the next photo

04A personal doctor for everyone
A clinic visit is a snapshot. Your skin is a story.
A dermatologist sees your skin for a few minutes, on one day. Neo is with you every day, at any hour. It doesn't replace your dermatologist. It makes sure nothing is missed between visits.
There when it flares
Ask at 11 pm when the itch won't stop, not three weeks later at an appointment.
Nothing forgotten
Your skin log keeps every flare, product and photo, so you never start from zero.
More than your skin
Sleep, stress, periods and food live in the same app, because they often show up on your skin.
Knows its limits
When a rash needs a dermatologist, Neo says so, and helps you make the most of the visit.
I have an itchy red ring on my thigh. It's been two weeks.
That could be a fungal infection. They're common in hot, humid weather. Have you put any cream on it? And does anyone at home have a similar itch?
A cream from the chemist. It got better, then came back bigger.
Many chemist creams mix a steroid with an antifungal. They calm the itch but can let the fungus spread. Please see a dermatologist for the right treatment. Until then, keep the area dry and don't share towels.
- Remind me to change after the gym
- Start a skin goal
05Personal doctor
By invitation · IndiaSkin that keeps coming back needs a doctor who stays.
Neo helps every day. When a problem has lasted for months, or a cream works and then stops working, add a real doctor of your own. Your doctor is matched to your skin problem, knows your history, and changes the plan when it isn't working.
- Unlimited chat with your doctor, photos included
- As many WhatsApp video calls as you need
- The full Make My Health app, with skin and period tracking
We accept a small number of people, so every doctor has time for each patient. Not for emergencies: in an emergency, call 112.
The cream worked for two weeks. Now the itching is back, and the patch is bigger.
Thanks for the photo. This often happens when a course stops too early. Let's change the plan. Can we do a quick video call this evening?

What your doctor does for your skin
Acne that keeps coming back
Your doctor looks at what drives it (hormones, products, stress, food) and changes the treatment as your skin changes.
Fungal infection (ringworm, daad)
Many return because treatment stops when the itch stops. Your doctor sees it through to the end and helps stop it spreading at home.
Eczema and itchy, dry skin
Finding what sets off your flares, and a plan for the next one so it doesn't catch you off guard.
Pigmentation, melasma and dark spots
These take months. Your doctor keeps the plan going, checks progress and keeps you off creams that make it worse.
Hair fall and dandruff
Your doctor looks for the cause, like thyroid, iron, stress or the scalp itself, and follows up over the months hair needs.

Skin questions, answered.
What Neo can do for your skin, and what it can't.
Is Neo a dermatologist?
No. Neo is an AI personal doctor. It helps you understand what may be behind a skin problem, build a daily routine and track how your skin responds. It does not diagnose or prescribe. When something needs a dermatologist, Neo tells you.
Can Neo prescribe creams or medicines?
No. Neo can explain the kinds of treatment that exist and what to ask your doctor. Prescription medicines and steroid creams should only come from a doctor who has examined your skin.
Can I get a real doctor for my skin?
Yes, in India. A personal doctor costs ₹999 a month and includes unlimited chat, as many WhatsApp video calls as you need, and the full Make My Health app. Your doctor is matched to your skin problem and follows up for as long as it takes. It's by invitation: request one on the personal doctor page, and our team will message you on WhatsApp. You pay nothing to apply.
Is the skin check free?
Yes. The skin check is free and takes a few minutes. The Make My Health app is invite-only during our private beta; once you're in, Premium starts with a 7-day free trial.
Why does my fungal infection keep coming back?
Common reasons are stopping treatment as soon as the itch settles, creams that contain a steroid, damp or tight clothes, and towels or family members that pass it back. A dermatologist can confirm it and choose the right antifungal and how long to use it. Neo helps you keep the habits that stop it returning.
When should I see a doctor straight away?
See a doctor quickly for a rash with fever, blisters or peeling skin, swelling of the face, lips or eyes, a hot, painful or fast-spreading red area, a mole that changes in size, shape or colour, or a sore that doesn't heal. If you have trouble breathing or your throat is swelling, get emergency care.
Are my skin photos private?
Yes. Progress photos are stored privately in your account and only you can see them. They are never sold, and deleting your account deletes them.
Do I need to buy any products?
No. Neo works with what you already use and tells you what to look for on a label. Make My Health does not sell skincare.
